The Children Acts (National Law)

National Law is the type of law that is made by Parliament (all the M.Ps in Westminster, London) and has to be followed in the United Kingdom (though some things don't apply to Scotland or Northern Ireland). All these Acts give children in care some rights and have to be followed in Leicestershire.

  • Children Act 1989
  • Children (Leaving Care) Act 2000
  • Children and Young Person Act 2008
