Placement Planning meetings are held to help decide where you will live after coming into care. The first meeting should be held before you are placed in a new home but where this is not possible, very soon after (within 5 working days).

More Placement Planning Meetings are held every so often or if there are things which need to be decided about day to day arrangements.

These are people who may be at the meeting:

  1. You;
  2. Your social worker or other professional e.g. Personal Adviser or advocate;
  3. Your parents;
  4. If you are in residential care, your link worker/Lead Social Worker and, where needed the home manager;
  5. If you are in foster care, the foster carers and their social worker.
