Where, who, how, what, when?

When you are in care, the place that you live is called your PLACEMENT and your Placement Plan says where you are going to live, how long for and who will look after you.

It will have the detail of exactly how you are going to be cared for and will include things like when you will see your family - Contact - as well as when and how often you will see your social worker. (See The Promise)

Your Placement Plan is part of your Care Plan and you should be involved in putting it together, along with your carers, parents and social worker. It should be written before you go anywhere new to live ( like when you come into care) or at the latest within a week of you moving there.

Ask your social worker about your Placement Plan - Contact Your Social Worker
