Ch1 Blog 16/7/15
Today we did a lot of tacking, the boat was tipped quite a lot.
We have all had an amazing time, everyone has worked hard, worn out, tired and ready for home time lol.

Today we sailed to from Poole to the Needles on the Isle of Wight, anchored for dinner by the Needles where three of our girls climbed the mast.
After dinner a night sailing to Yarmouth arriving around midnight.

Tuesday sailed from Cowes through Solent and open sea to Poole harbour. Spent the day tacking along the coast - putting up sails, navigating and steering the ship.

KEEP THE MEMORY ALIVE
The film which was created as a result of the trip to Auschwitz - 'Unheard' was screened on both evenings and was extremely well received. We hope that Unheard will soon be on this website.

The Plac Bohaterów Getta, or Square of the Heroes of the Ghetto is a really moving place, there are 70 sculpted empty chairs there, some are big, some would only fit children, representing the people who once lived there.

Last week, a group of us from the CiCC went to the Holocaust Memorial Centre near Newark, Nottinghamshire.
We also got to learn what it was like for him and his family at the time.
