Virtual School Tall Ships Day 4 - Blog 10

Our last full day on the Virtual School tall ships trip has certainly been a busy one ... We sailed for over 5 hours learning about ropes and more navigation skills on the way to help towards our awards. As you can see we actually can do quite a few things now .. Tacking, helmsmanship, reef, figure of 8, clove and a few other knots as well.

At times the skipper was confident enough to leave some of us at the helm while getting on with other things – a big compliment to us but rather scary for Sam!

This evening we have been on the beach paddling, kicking a ball about and failing to find an ice cream shop and generally having fun! Sian denies suggesting we write Virtual School in the sand but it was definitely her idea, adding woo-hoo was a joint decision ... It's been our reply every time Kerry or Sam have mentioned Virtual School the entire week!
