TALL SHIPS 2016; Day 3

Today's blog post is by TJ and Sophie.

This morning we sailed from Poole to Swanage. On our arival we changed into shorts as Sam told us it would be sunny, we used the dinghy to get onto the pier and then we got soaked in the rain! We hid in a cafe and then had a stroll in the beautiful town.

Today we have learnt how to plot a course on a nautical map using dividers and a portland plotter. We also learnt about the differences between the Blackpool in England and the Blackpool in Bulgaria where Ana is from! We also learnt not to rely on Sam for weather advice !!

Today we are feeling happy that the sun has finally shown as well as relaxed and content with the calm sea .. calm enough for a game of monopoly this afternoon!

To all young people out there we would say this is a great experience, do it, it's fun even though you get wet sometimes. It is really worth the effort ... YOLO.
